Marginalized and disenfranchised.
I have come to the conclusion, particularly over the course of this election season, that I do not count.
I have come to the conclusion that I do not matter. I have come to the conclusion that I do not factor into the equation. I have come to the conclusion that I am not considered. I have come to the conclusion that I have no effect. I have come to the conclusion that I don't care. If this is the best we can do, I don't want to be included in "we." Good lord, if someone else posted this rubbish, I would go to work on them. I would dissect them as apathetic, selfish, and un-American. And I'd be right. The truth sucks sometimes. |

Re: Marginalized and disenfranchised.
If you are a registered voter then you share what we all do, a small share in the electoral decisions.
If you are not registered or not an American, then you are a spectator. Why is this a big deal? Why must each one of us be judged more important than out fellow citizens? I am happy being one hundred millionth of the voter base of the country. |

Just expressing an unfortunate perspective in these troubled and fairly stupid times in America. |

Re: Marginalized and disenfranchised.
You live in a swing state, your vote is much more likely to count than mine. That having been said, I will vote (as I always do) for what I perceive as the lesser of 2 evils.

Re: Marginalized and disenfranchised.
i live in california, please explain to me how my presidential vote means anything at all. The candidates for the presidency certainly didnt include californians in their campaign as much as they should, and we are one of the biggest states in the union and one of the top 10 economies in the world. the case for the need for using the popular vote is made loud and clear in california where many of us are disinfranchised because the state always votes democrat.
