I raise and fold to the 3bet against a TAG

Dude seems like a TAG. I was worried about a set after the flop but called intending to raise the turn. 88-TT wouldn't 3bet this right??? I don't usually make these wait till turn plays in these sorts of spots, but I'm trying to mix it up these days.

JJ usually caps preflop in these games and I thought it was odd that he'd 3bet me on the turn with JJ.

That is one ugly fold. There is no way I could pull that. I would likely donk bet the river on this hand too. 77 is the only hand I am afraid of. 66 and 55 are borderline UTG raises by a TAG. He could have any overpair on this board. He might be getting fancy with his 88.

Your line here has to be call down or even bet/call the river.

I hate this fold. Just because he's a TAG doesn't mean he's not going nuts with QQ or 88 or didn't cap preflop with KK. TAGs make mistakes/fall victim to FPS all the time.
