Default The Chronic: 2001

It's still a mystery what the name of this CD by Dr. Dre is... Yeah, I know it only says 2001 on the cover, but there's that chronic leaf right before it. Plus, I've seen a bunch of rappers call it The Chronic 2001 in interviews and such. So what is it?

he wanted to call it Chronic 2001, but because Suge Night and Deathrow owned the rights to Dre's first album, they wouldn't allow him to use the term "chronic" in the title. Therefor it is called 2001. The chronic leaf on the cover is basically his way of saying [censored] you to Suge. So you could call it Chronic 2001 if you want, but the official name is 2001.

no prob, coincidently, Suge and Deathrow put out an album called Chronic 2000, it was a compilation of crappy Deathrow artists.

Just looked that up, the only people I've even heard of are, of course, Tupac and Soopafly... And they only make up 3 of the 28 songs. Sounds dismal.
