Since adderall is used to help people with ADD/ADHD (and people who need to study for finals), do you think that some people take adderall before a tournament or cash game to help them focus harder? Would it give you a significant edge or just be a nuisance?

Yes it does give me an edge although I do have ADD. Poker on my meds while they are peaking is pretty much game over for everyone else.

no it wouldnt. learn to focus [/ QUOTE ] I can focus just fine as I'm assuming you can too, but then add the aditional focus adderall would give you. I think the increased focus might very well give you an edge. |

I think it does give me an edge. Paul Phillips has said that he is able to memorize minute details solely based on the fact he is now aware of them and I have to agree. I am not condoning that you go and get some illegally but it does help for those who are suffering from this type of disease or condition (don't want to spark a debate).

Daniel Negranau takes what he calls 'poker pills' (he won't reveal what they really are) and it says it helps him focus on the game alot.
