Default a quick pre-flop thingy, Q9o OTB

I posted this in SS a week or so ago, and many thought my pre-flop play was horrible. I thought it was meh, but not terrible. Anyway, I was wondering what the HUSHers thought of it

this is a live 6 handed 10/20 game. Its been full, now its short, no one really adjusts or changes their play. The play, for the most part, is loose passive. Fairly straightfoward.

Anyway, UTG, UTG+1 and CO all limp. I limmp OTB with Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

That's basically it.

Sorry, I'm talked to a few generally respected posters round here who say "bad" and other who don't say anything. Really, sorry if this is a waste of space. Its confusing me though, and I don't see how people could think it "horrible."

So "yup" and "yawn" mean fine, right?

Yup. With the button I don't think it matters much. I consider QT a pretty easy limp here, and Q9 easy enough that against the right opposition I have no qualms with it.

I would say that against a raise your queen is more likely to be dominated(?)

Also, the lineup is probably important. I'm playing against really loose passive I know where I stand type donks. You might be playing against a different breed of donk.

Position + domination + lineup.

I limp QT, but I never do that with Q9... am I missing some opportunities to spew chips I don't normally have?

a few things. position, more straights (much stronger hand IMO), less likely to be dominated (no raise preflop, etc...)
