Default Is an all-in counter-productive here?

Just after the first break, 450/1559 left. Blinds are 100/200, I'm in the SB with 1600 after posting. UTG, MP2 and Button limp, I call with Kh8s getting 9:1 and BB checks.

Flop is 6hKd2d. I didn't like the flush draw with 4 villians and figured there was a very good chance I was ahead here, so I push my last 1500 into the 1000 pot. Is this correct or is a bet of around 600 a better idea?

On the one hand a bet of 600 allows me to have some folding equity with a 900 bet if a blank falls on the turn, on the other it affords 2nd callers proper odds to chase their flush.

I like an all in. If you bet half your stack, you might as well commit the rest of them.

Please give more info on the villians for a better response from other. Chip size, tendencies...details.

Welcome aboard.

New table about an orbit ago, and no one has seemed too frisky. Everyone in the hand has me covered.

In my mind I would be pot committed after a bet of 600.

Here's what I'm wondering. Someone with AXd has correct odds to call the all-in. So, if I bet 600 and a blank falls on the turn, a 900 bet likely forces him out and I scoop 2200.

True, however I prefer to tap there in that spot.

I like a preflop fold.

But that's just me. I play bad.

Rationality and bad play are not mutually exclusive. Believe me, I played three tourneys today, made it through 70% of the field in each, and then self-destructed on plays I knew were bad while I was making them in every one of them.

By the way--Mr. MacGowan enjoys a pint from time to time, between whiskeys. This is no reason to disparage his unique countenance.
