What is a good win rate at 3/6NL?
I've been playing 3/6 NL on Stars for about 2 months.
As per pokertracker my win rate is 6.3BB/100. I have 16K hands logged. What would be regarded as a good win rate in the 3/6 game? (I guess it is a lot higher than 6 as I am not particularly good) How many hands would need to be logged to be regarded as a reasonable sample size? |

Re: What is a good win rate at 3/6NL?
200K hands is a GOOD sample size, at about 100K is "good enough for me to get an idea" at 50K is a semi guess.
is that 6.3 ptbb/100 or 6.3 bb/100? Cause i'm at 4.8 ptbb/100 at 3/6 on pokerstars, and that's about 40K hands, (need more hands). I would say someone could beat that for more (6.5 or 7 ptbb/100 seems possible), but pokerstars has it's unique obstacles that pp doesn't have. |

It is 6.3ptbb/100. What are the unique obstacles you refer to?

Re: What is a good win rate at 3/6NL?
I would think you should be happy with anything above 5 PTBB/100 but 16K hands is a woeful sample..so be wary.I'd continue to play $3-6 and try and improve on that winrate.
5-7 PT/BB I would be stoked above 7 I'd move up to $5-10. If you can just do 4 PTbb/100 in the $5-10 game thats $80 per 100 hands eqivalent to a 6.67 PT bb/100 at $3-6. I guess maybe you could have a goal of 7-8 but that may be tough to acheive thu in $3-6. If you can do anything over roughly 5.00PT/bb in the $5-10 's and handle the swings you should move up. Maybe at 6.3PTBB/100 in the $3-6 you should try and get that winrate a bit higher thu before making the jump..looks good to me I'm just starting to play $2-4's randomly mostly 6MAX. |

Stay at the 3/6 for another ~50k hands.

You're good enough for $10/$20 NL. Good luck.
