Default Connected cards Not suited

How do people play Jack Ten off suit and ten 9 offsuit in late pos. Im losing a lot of money with these hands and want to clear up a leak.

At a profitable table, I'll limp with these on button or CO. Play for two pair, set or OESD. Postflop, bet any made hands, draw to OESD/pair with gutshot only if you have odds. Else, fold. JMO.

play them in multiway limped pots with passive players behind and in the blinds. raise them first in to steal blinds. fold them when it looks like the above two aren't going to happen.

Agreed, except for one thing. Open trips with medium kickers are very tricky hands. If I have JT and the flop is TTx, I don't want to get all-in unless I know my opponent is a total donkey. Open trips with ace kickers is where the money is at.

Basically, don't get attached to top pair. If you have JT and the flop is J86, I will put out a bet on the flop if everyone checks to me, but I'm probably not betting at it again unless I know my opponent is a donkey.

Also, don't open limp these hands in CO/Button. Open raise or just fold them.

If you're going to be so cautious with this type of hand you're better off not playing them.

And why is that? Because you should only think about your own cards and act accordingly?

It's not like I'm commenting on a specific hand I'm just commenting on the idea that you're better off not playing so-so hands if you can't get the money in the middle when you flop big.

Not going broke with second-best hands should be a reason you DO play them. If you can't fold trips-no-kicker, then THAT is a reason not to see the flop.
