Default Dealing with Poopoo-heads

"Poopoo-head" isn't my choice of vocabulary, but it seems profanity is scarce here.

All-too-common scenario:

I sit at a table with 4 or so players willing to pay the rest with anything (eg, calling down with K high on a paired board, $2/$4). Along comes some jerk who harangues them viciously, causing them to tighten up and fold more.

Anyone have success in getting jerks to be quiet? I'm sure this question is asked here all the time, so good previous discussions are welcome. I have my theories, but nothing well-proven yet. BTW, this is party poker.

Warren Harding is my favorite president because his middle initial is G.

As for the morons, tell them to "shut up and play poker."

I have added the "poopoo-head" to my buddy list so that I can send him a PM, by using the "Invite" message, and told him that he's not helping himself by getting them to play more conservatively. Has worked...in two ways:

1) A couple times, they've actually shut up, and the play resumed.

2) Sometimes, they turn their anger towards you, and start 3-betting your raises with less than premium hands, just to "destroy you."

Doesn't always work, but it's the best I've come up with.

I type: [username] STFU, we're just we're trying to have fun here, chill out or find a new table .

Usually it works, but if not I think it helps the bad players feel better and they're less likely to leave
