Mason describes a hand where you fl0p top pair in early posistion in a large multi-way pot, bet it all the way and lose to a smaller two pair. He says this is the wrong strategy, what strategy is correct? Curently this is how play a hand like this and if it is wrong, I want to fix it ASAP. In the essay, Mason says many people play this type of hand the same way.

In essence, if I remember Mason's argument, in loose games there's very little you can do about being drawn out on on the turn. But there is something you can do to keep from being drawn out on on the river. By playing so that you can check-raise the turn, and having some of your opponents in a multi-way pot have to face two big bets to see the river, you can dcecrase the chances of losing the pot on the river.
