Re: confusing as hell KK hand 2/4 NL on stars
Raise to 20 preflop, Pot the flop, Bet 1/2 the pot on the turn. Call the river, if it even gets there...
Also use bisons converter... |

Re: confusing as hell KK hand 2/4 NL on stars
i dont really care too much about the forum split discussion, but here is an internet 2/4 ith 150BB stacks that seems it should really be in small stakes.

Re: confusing as hell KK hand 2/4 NL on stars
River I think is an easy call. Pot is like $150 by then? Feels like he's making a blocking bet with JJ, QQ.
Also I bet full pot on flop and probably 1/2-2/3rds on the turn. The Doc |

Results
The guy had 7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and won a decent sized pot with his ugly fullhouse. Obviously I didnt bet enough to get him out preflop but if I did bet him out I would win just the blinds. I think I want people to make calls with these kinds of cards but unfortunately for me he hit it pretty big. A simple case of bad timing I think.

[/ QUOTE ] I think the p oint of raising more preflop is to not only win the blinds, but identify hands. he limped with 2 suited cards in the hopes of busting someone if he hits. You then raised enough to give him the value to call. If he calls and the flop is q-8-2, you bet and he folds and you still only would have won a few bucks. There is nothing wrong with winning the blinds especially with a hand like KK. most of the time you wont improve with a hand like this. And you could have easily been facing 1 or 2 other callers making you less than a 50 percent favorite to win the pot. |

You bet too weak all along, but fold that river. What do you think he plays like that ?
I have very rarely seen a weak hand check/call flop and turn and then lead the river for a big bet like that. |

Re: confusing as hell KK hand 2/4 NL on stars
The most money you make in poker is from your opponent having a clearly defined hand.
KK only plays well in big pots if there is alot to defend preflop. If you are going to let your opponents in cheap preflop cause they over value one pair, you can't pay off like cash machine. Better to force your opponents to play hands you can see. |
