Intervention
This is probably the most hardcore show on TV. It's on A&E right now.

Re: Intervention
I have only seen the promos for this show, but is nothing sacred? Why in hell does anyone consent to ANY part of their lives being televised, let alone their worst/most private/most important moments?

Re: Intervention
In the media, nothing is sacred anymore. Isn't that blatently obvious with all these new reality shows.

[/ QUOTE ] I was watching a show on A&E the other day about a heroin addict who had a couple of kids. She lived with her husband and a brother (I think) who both knew that she was a heroin addict but seemed to put up with it. The cameras followed her during a "typical" day for her -- which totally revolved around trying to score some heroin. She had her daughter with her the entire time...she was telling her daughter that it was her "medicine" and that "mommy feels better now" after she finally got her fix. The voiceover pointed out that she hadn't eaten all day while she was trying to track down her dealer. Now *this* was disturbing. Hopefully Child Welfare tracked her down shortly after the episode aired. |
