Default Getting Started @ MTT

Foremostly, I tried doing a search before posting this, I'm sure its been asked numerous times...

I've purchased TFAP, HoH I & II. What else should I be reading before getting started at MTT? My background is SNGs.

Are there any essential MTT threads?

I currently, play on Empire, should I look elsewhere for MTT and should I be looking for tournaments where there is free money to be won from time to time, such as the $10k guaranteed if less than 1000 players, enter, etc?

I was considering the following last night...

playing the Empire $11+1 satellite for the $15k guaranteed on Wednesday. Is playing these satellites +EV or should I simply begin playing the $11 tournaments or guaranteed rather than satellites then the actual tournament?

I think the best advice for anybody coming from sngs is to gamble it up early as much as you can, you get so used to passing on small edges in sngs that if you do that in MTTs you'll never build a large stack.

I'll bear that in mind, however that isn't what I'm asking =]

reading and rereading hoh vol I & II, and playing 30 hrs a week has made me into a winning player online and BM. i also got my start with sng's but didn't feel they favored the skilled player as much as multi's.

good luck

What are the "Must-read" Strategy Posts from this forum?

Playing with the big stack

A MTT concept that I believe Mason and David ignore too often

There's a link to another good one in the last link.
