Default folding kings preflop

I come across this situation every few days at the party 30s.

lvl 1, no reads. hero is utg with KK. hero raises to 75. utg+1 min raises to 135. all fold to hero.

what else is villian min raising here besides Aces?

i would fold QQ here pretty quickly. kings...?

i only have to be correct in my read 50% of the time right?

You cant be sure unless you 100% for sure know your opponents raising habits. Check out my other thread and see why. I remember ZeeJustin saying hes never folded KK preflop, and thats at a $215 sng. Dan Harrington also offers the same advice, and thats for long MTTs!

yea we both posted folding KK PF threads at exactly the same time. weird.

why do you have to be 100% sure? maybe im wrong but wouldnt it be just over 50% sure that he has AA?

Have you seen your opponent often enough to even put a correct estimation? Ive seen people miniraise the whole gamut from AA, to 44, to 98s. You have to know your opponent before you even attempt to put an estimation on what hes doing that with.

Oh btw, if you KNEW he had AA, then call and hit a set. Folding KK is still inappropriate.

My estimate is over 50% of the time he will have AA here. just curious, how often do you think he would have AA here?

Maybe its me, but even at the 30s there are enough morons that like other hands too much for me to assume AA and lay down Kings.

IMO, all the energy spent on finding the one time where it may be correct to fold aces PF early is poorly spent.

There are better ways to spend time improving your game.

let me share a hand from today:

i raised in EP with AKo level 1 and got minraised, i called

the flop contained a K and a 5, the river was a 6 and man had 56s

i've also frequently seen minraisers have hands like A9s, 99, AK, AQ, just about anything

in this situation, i don't mind just calling the minraise then getting all in unless flop is awful (including containing an A)
