I keep running into a certain type of player that usually has a tagish type of stats with a bit more aggression but not too obvious.
From what I am seeing they start targeting TAGs at the table and basically bluffing them out of pots on the turn. TAG raises (AJo), TAGbluf reraises, TAG calls. Flop TAG bets, TAGbluf calls, Turn TAG bets, TAGbluff raises, TAG folds unimproved. Of course the board determines how TAGbluff plays. Any K or low cards they seem to play this trick. Also their reraise is with weak hands like A7o and they target players the raise from MP3-button Heres the interesting part. They keep doing it till they are caught then they leave the table. I usually give credit twice when that happens then I call down if I see this pattern. They play it exactly the same each hand they do it with the same pauses and timing between rounds. Must be the new trend. Always seem to change every few months what people try to pull online. For 3 months it was all this secret limping with good hands, then it was something else, then.... thoughts? http://www.texasholdempoker-stats.com/ |

All Im saying is that they just started popping up. Never noticed them before. The LAGs were obvious from the start.
But strange that their stats don't reflect their aggressive nature that much. They are not much more aggressive than I am. Also I noticed the other way. Players with TAG stats but they are terrible. Their stats a little lower than mine but still in the range. TAG poor player: PFR 7-10% TAF 1.5-2.0 Me: PRF 14% TAF 2.3 TAG bluff player PRF 14-16%, TAF 2.7-3.2 Forgot the VPIPs |
