Default Blinds

4 handed.

BB is TAG. Not sure how good or bad at this point. But fairly tight and agressive.
folded to me in SB and I raise with Js8d.

BB 3 bets, I call.

Flop: As Kd 8c

I check, he bets, I raise?

isn't a better hand just going to take your money and a worse hand fold?

I just fold. Why set yourself up? You tried a steal with a crappy hand. You got 3-bet. Bummer. An ace and king appeared on the flop. Bummer. fold.

You don't think he has odds to check-call the flop?

theres a ton of better hands that fold here. 99-QQ mainly, and you are paying 1 more bet to see the tunr anyhow, so try to take it down now.

Peel once and hopefully he'll check behind on the turn with QJ/66 etc. If he's not that type then you're getting nice odds on your 5 outer.

QQ-99 there are 36 combinations. Compare that to the number of Ax or Kx combinations. Pot isn't large, you are not getting favorable odds to make a play at a pot that you don't have much equity in.

7-1, check calling is probably fine. Close though. It's tough to be precise given how wide hand ranges must be. Especially if he'll check behind once in a while on the turn. (non too unlikely).

You expect people to check 66 on the turn when QJ/QT/JT had a gutshot on the flop ?
