QQ flop decision.
.25/.5 blinds. 5 handed. I raise QQ UTG to 2, new player calls in SB (26.5) , very loose and very very passive player calls in BB (26.75).
Flop is T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] I have Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] They both check to me and I bet 4, SB pops it to 8, BB calls - what is my plan? Will post thoughts later. |

Re: QQ flop decision.
call, push on a blank unless SB does so himself.
Do you have a black queen? |

Re: QQ flop decision.
A min raise here normally means some mediocre holding looking to find out where he is, such as JT-AT. BB probably has a draw, although some top pair hand can't be ruled out either.
Is it better to get it all in on the flop, or wait till a safe turn? Failing to push here is giving a free card when lots of cards could kill me, but I could have much bigger equity. Furthermore, if SB calls and then BB has the odds to call with his draw on the flop. For those of you waiting for a safe card on the turn, what do you count as safe given the following actions i) SB pushes, BB folds ii) They both check to me iii) SB pushes, BB calls. |

Re: QQ flop decision.
i;d say the BB is drawing. in the games you are playing in, dont be surprised to see the SB calling your raise with a T9s. i would say the min-checkraise probably means hes got 2 pair or a set
there is a chance the BB is CRing w/ hands you can beat such as AT or JJ, but that play is really wierd. i think this is a spot where you have both the worst hand and the worst draw. if you still are ahead, you have to dodge somebody with a pair and somebody on a straight and/or flush draw. since it is only 4$ more, you could call and see how the SB acts on the turn, but be very careful |

Re: QQ flop decision.
SB probably has a monster draw here, that would be my guess. To me it's close between a fold or taking it to a third bet (maybe about $16 or so) I think flat calling is about the worst thing you can do here.
P.S.- I don't think the 2/3 pot bet is enough to lead out with here, I'm betting the pot. |

Turn
I call.
Turn is 7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] SB pushes, BB calls. Pot is ~ $62 and it is 16 to call. Call or fold + why? |

Re: QQ flop decision.
I'd like it if A/K-9 would fold. Doesn't seem likely that an A/K-10 would lay it down, plus any two mid+ spades are probably going along too. Still a very good chance Q-Q is good here. Maybe the flat call is the way to go and see what the turn brings...

Re: Turn
With $62 in the pot I'd have to call. Decent chance Q-Q is good here, calling $16 is definatly worth it.
