Very typical of me when the cards are not cooperating, can someone give me a better idea? My problem is that I can see people taking shots at this with not much

Just call the raise. C/F the turn. You are being paranoid. The people at absolute 1/2 are not that observant.

This is spewage. Call the flop raise and hope to improve on the turn.
The pot was small until you decided to bloat it. I'm not unhappy giving up UI. |

Don't 3-bet the flop unless you have a really good read.

In his place, I never take a flop this way though. All I ever see from this sort of cold-caller is a weak hand that will only give action on a raggy board.

[/ QUOTE ] I don't understand what you're saying here. Regardless, you do realize that you need to improve to win, right? This is a worse ace or a draw like ... hardly ever. You're spewing chips here. |

I don't understand what you're saying here. [/ QUOTE ] Maybe what I am saying makes no sense. Ok, I would like to try again! Say you are the floater and you pick hands like small pocket pairs and other decent-looking hands like QJs or ATs to float. Now the flop comes raggy and you are heads-up. The raiser bets as he will usually do. He holds a pocket pair less often than he holds AK/AQ/KQ/AJ/etc. Aren't you right to raise him every time regardless of your holding if he never 3-bets you without a big pocket pair? This is my problem. My defence is to sometimes put on a power play if I'm the original raiser. But I'm getting 4-bet on the flop by weak hands |
