No, he actually held a better starting hand than his opponent, in my opinion. I think you play it pretty correctly, but you have to proceed with caution when you spot the two Queens on the flop. Always he aware someone could have the full or even quads, no matter how unlikely it is. In this specific situation, I would put a raise on the turn already. If the board pairs again, he could easily have a boat and the pot would be lost.
It's better to win a small pot than losing a big one. |

Re: Can you tell me where I went wrong?! Plz reply
no, the pre-flop call was wrong, and NO WAY is 43s better than K7s heads up...
loving suited connecters is a natural mistake, like loving suited aces in limit... but he's playing heads-up and out of position with 4-high... 34 only makes three strights, same as a one-gapper, and the suitedness is not very valuable heads-up... also, he asked for his mistake, and certainly you'll agree it was the most questionable of his plays |

Re: Can you tell me where I went wrong?! Plz reply
Fold preflop because if you're looking to double up through someone on the flush, you're likely to be called by someone who is going to have a higher flush. I've lost more money on second nut flush than I have on all other types of hands combined. While I understand the logic of the play (no one will see it coming if I have a baby straight or trip 3s/4s) you're basically asking for trouble playing those hands.
Also, I'll be the first one to say it so I'll try to be nice, if the stacks aren't an average of 500 or higher, post in the low lim forum. Some of the high stakes players lose ten grand in a hand so it's understandable that they will sometimes get cranky at a hundred dollar stack getting busted. Hope this helps! Ez |

Fold Pre-Flop
You are out of position - Heads-up with garbage. SF |

Kh 7h is also garbage, but it is still miles ahead of 3h 4h

Re: Can you tell me where I went wrong?! Plz reply
I have no problem with sometimes playing these low suited connecters although you should usually fold preflop...
DONT DRAW DEAD DONT DRAW WHEN YOU MIGHT BE DEAD WHY ARE YOU DRAWING TO A LOW FLUSH ON A PAIRED BOARD? I fold this on the flop if not preflop. ---------------- Questions for the frequent posters... Do you ever draw to flushes/straights on a board that has paired paint or that is paired at all without a really good read? -Steve (BTW - wrong forum) |
