Default Book Recommendations

My dad has started playing poker recently and I would like to buy him a book for father’s day. Can someone recommend a Limit Hold’em book that is good for beginners? He already read “Winner’s Guide To Texas Hold’em Poker” by Ken Warren.

Thanks,

Tell him to unlearn all the information he learned from reading Ken Warren's book.

Melo is good, D. Wade and King James are both better. But thats just my opinion and I am sure some people will disagree with me that D. Wade is better.

Yeah, tell your dad to start with the limit section of this book. Also tell him to read the holdem book (NOT the one for advanced players) by Sklansky after that. Then after he plays awhile he could start to read stuff like TOP, SSH, and HPFAP, etc...
