I can see him betting this with pretty much any two, only problem is that you have no folding equity... Dont know how I feel about this, betting out is a better way of finding out if you are good I think.

That requires about 9 outs. If he has a straight draw it's a marginal call. If he has two overs it's an easy fold. If he has something like A9 and puts our hero on a Jack it's a fold. Obviously, this is very read dependent but if we don't think he has a good hand (because he often makes these types of bets) we can push and he will fold most of the time. |

Given that you didn't, do you think he folds his T9o or whatever the times he actually has a pair? |

I don't get it.... who is the person value betting in this hand? Is it you? What worse hands are calling this raise? I guess an open-ended straight draw might... but even that has two overs and is actually a favorite. This bet looks more like a bluff to me since we are hoping that a middle pair or naked overs will fold.
