Default Johnny Chan getting mad at dealers...

This was from Barry Greensteins website. For some reason I find this unbelievable for a veteran champion to get mad at the dealer..

"If he loses with a certain dealer he often takes it personally, sometimes getting into it with him. "

I think Photoc had dealt to him in the big game and made a comment about him being a prick - I don't recall - so don't put words into his mouth -

I know either him or Al didn't like dealing the big game when it was Aladdin very much.

I'm sure through all of his glory Mr. Chan has managed to remain somewhat human. Humans get angry sometimes. What else is there to say?

What the hell are you talking about? When I was 21 years old and starting going to the casino I'd get mad at the dealers when they won, but then after I realized how ridiculous I was being and its not their fault. WHy the hell would JOhnny Chan blame the dealers? Its friggin retarded.

Why is this hard to believe? Lots of tourney champions are pricks. Take a peak behind the curtain once in awhile. Many of these guys have huge egos.

A dealer in my cardbarn used to floor in a room Chan frequented. One night she was working and he was in a game, lost a hand, got pissed and said something in relation to berating the dealer finishing by throwing chips at the dealer hitting her in the chest. Floor was called. Then floor managers. The manager was going to let it slide because it was 'Chan'. The person I know said she told her manager she'd walk off the floor and quit if Chan wasn't removed from the game.

So yes, he is kind of known as a steamer and a moron.
Unless of course, you think this type of behavior is acceptable at any time. It isn't.

It is retarded. My comment was directed at the fact that you find it surprising that a 'champion' would act like such an a-hole and idiot. That's like being 'shocked...shocked' that our sports heroes aren't all role models or that our elected officials lie and can be corrupted... etc. It just struck me as extremely naive.
