MTT, about 2x players before the money
It's a 5 +.50. Small tourney, playing for fun. 650 starting, about 150 left. Unfortunately, forgot to get UB to send me the tourney summary so this is from memory.
Me T7000 Villian T9000 Blinds 200-400 It's folded to me with K8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] on the CO. I raise to 1200 and the SB calls. HU to the flop. Pot at 2800 Flop is K82 rainbow. I bet 500, he calls. I figure I don't want to chase him off. The bet was too small, but I figured it wasn't a major mistake. He'd shown aggression against timid bets before. Pot is now 3800 Turn is a Jack. Completing no straights, putting no flushes on the board. I bet 1400, he min-raises to 2800. I call. The river is another blank (a 4 I think). I check, he puts me all in. Where did I end up behind in the hand and could I have found a fold? Turns out he pulled the 2 outer on the turn for trip Jacks, but what I'm more interested in is. 1) Should I have forced him out on the flop, or was it ok to slow play given the rainbow flop? 2) Should I have found a fold when he min-raised the turn? |

Re: MTT, about 2x players before the money
you should have bet more on the flop, but not so as to scare him out. No, there is no fold in this hand.
