Default I virtually never cold-call...

... but I'm trying to find the right spots to do it.

Live 8-16. Table has been playing generally pretty passive and a little loose. UTG is mostly unknown, but seems to be relatively tight. CO is a total unknown. BB seems like a reasonable player, but I've seen him get oddly aggressive before. He just busted out of a big tourney, FWIW. Virtually nobody in this game is folding their blinds PF for a raise.

Standard?

Preflop: Hero is button with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
UTG raises, 4 folds, CO calls, Hero calls, SB calls, BB calls.

Flop: (10 SB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img],T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img],2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5 players)
UTG bets, CO folds, Hero raises, SB folds, BB calls, UTG calls.

Turn: (8 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets, BB raises, UTG folds, Hero calls.

River: (12 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 14 BB

Good time for a cold-call (one of the few). 3-bet the turn and/or raise the river.

Any reason you didn't three bet? I probably re-raise 75% of the time Cold-call 20, fold 5% (with read)

I would have 3bet, especially if the blinds won't fold for 2 either (this wasn't clear in your post). A huge bloated pot with AQs in position is pretty good.

TT?

fold 5% (with read)

[/ QUOTE ]

If by read you mean your opponent turned over his cards and you saw AA, KK, or QQ, then yes; otherwise folding is crazy.

which is more important, the read on PFR or the blinds? To re-raise I say more PFR, but I need some sick reads on the blinds to fold here.

I play it the same.

I don't like 3 betting the turn. I think there's a decent chance you're behind.

What hand is there a "decent chance" he is behind to?

If i thought the blinds were going to fold I'd muck.

If i thought the blinds would play, i'd call

If i thought the PFR would only raise AA, KK, AK, QQ, JJ and the blinds would play - i may still fold.

I probably overstated the 5%.
