How to read someone who always pre-flops raises?
I was playing at a table and was playing against someone who raised pre-flop 90% of the time. I called some of them and ended up folding due to the fact I had nothing. Any suggestions on how to deal and play this?

isolate means that you try to get heads up..
Against a player like this then I do as I always do. If an ordinary player raise and have something like 8% preflop raise, then I think that the average that he raise with is something like AJ. Then I nead to have atleast AQ to coldcall or raise. If this player raise with all hands he play and he play around 20%, then I put the average hand he raise with is hands like JTs. That mean that I will play hands like ATs against him too if I have ok position.. When I try to read what hand he has, then I raise more hands and see what hands he reraise with or what hands he call with. Sure it is more expensiv to play like this if you are unlucky, but you also win more when you win [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

i think you simply lower your 3-betting standards. don't go too loose, but A-To could be a 3-bet instead of fold, definitley KQo, maybe even KJs.
rarely call this player, re-raise or fold. the way to get his money in the long run is to punish his bad preflop play. i agree with whoever said to pay close attention to his postflop play...this may be a really good postflop player. no matter how good he is, though, he cannot overcome going 3 bets before the flop with worse hands than you on a regular basis. cheers!
