Default Pot Limit O8

Party Poker $100 buy-in $.5/$1 blinds. This is my second time in the BB, only one lap, so no real read on the table (not that I'm an expert at that anyway).

I get A [img]/forums/images/icons/diamond.gif[/img] 4 [img]/forums/images/icons/diamond.gif[/img] Q [img]/forums/images/icons/heart.gif[/img] 4 [img]/forums/images/icons/club.gif[/img] 6 limpers, plus the SB, I check.

8 players for a flop of:

6 [img]/forums/images/icons/diamond.gif[/img] 8 [img]/forums/images/icons/diamond.gif[/img] Q [img]/forums/images/icons/diamond.gif[/img]

SB bets $4 and it is up to me. The max raise is $19.60.

I'm very new to PLO8 (Maybe 2 hours of online at UB).

What's the best play and why?

I raise the max ($19.60), and it is folded around. I win.

It's a misdeal, you were dealt 5 cards.

What are the 5 cards, because I only see 4?

I like your bet and don't think you should milk in this situation. There are very few in PLO8 where you should. The two low cards on the flop; your fourth nut low; your low back-up being dinked: nothing much good can happen on fourth and fifth streets. If somebody wants to chase, make them pay.

Sorry, misread your post.

Since you have no redraws to the high side except for a possible runner runner full house or quads I'd do exactly what you did - bet the pot and pray.

Yep. LOL. My first thought when everyone folded was "at least the board didn't pair."

Thanks for the input.

Sorry, misread your post.

I think the lack of punctuation between my cards and the number of limpers probably caused the problem.
