Poker rooms close to Texas

I currently live in Waco TX and I am looking to make the move from online to live play but I am not sure where to go. Are there any rooms in the dallas/fort worth area or am I going to have to drive to shreveport to play?

winstar casino should have poker very soon. possibly within a week.

-correction. i just called and some lady said it will be around march.

I remember the Redman club in Austin. It was raided by the police after only a few months of operation. Why should the Dallas club be exempt from the Texas laws against gambling?

Personally, I wouldn't go within 500 ft of that Dallas club, especially given that they're now apparently advertising online.

Hey...I live in Austin, and am fairly well connected to the Texas poker scene...let me just say this: things are getting tighter on the major club games. The College Station game where I cut my teeth got busted, and there have been two clubs in the Dallas area robbed recently.

Around here there are some club-type home games, but nothing like those others. I would be very careful getting in a game in Dallas or Houston right now other than a home game.
