Folding against (maybe) made hands
Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (8 handed) converter

The thing I'm wondering is when do you throw stuff like this away? Hands where it really seems like your opponent has been helped by the scare card but your hand still looks alright. |

Re: Folding against (maybe) made hands
Don't post results.
Hand 1: Check the flop, and your turn/river action is inconsistent. Why 3-bet the turn and check call the river? Hand 2: I think you can save a BB on the river. With QJT[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and an 8 on the board, your AA looks no good. |

Don't post results. [/ QUOTE ] They're whited out... but OK. [ QUOTE ] Hand 1: Check the flop, and your turn/river action is inconsistent. Why 3-bet the turn and check call the river? [/ QUOTE ] I thought my jacks were the best and raised to get in an extra bet as well as feel how strong he was. I also thought I might get him to lay down a turned flush draw. When he called I felt he had the flush, but I didn't wanna fold trips to such a large pot. [ QUOTE ] Hand 2: I think you can save a BB on the river. With QJT[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and an 8 on the board, your AA looks no good. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, sure looks like it. But is it scary enough to lay them down? I think check-calling the river would be better than folding, no? |

Re: Folding against (maybe) made hands
Hand 1: I call down once I'm raised, he's making it pretty obvious he's got the flush at that point (Assuming your typical party fish).
Hand 2: I don't bet that river...puts a 3 flush and a 4 straight on the board -- check/call. |

Yeah, sure looks like it. But is it scary enough to lay them down? I think check-calling the river would be better than folding, no? [/ QUOTE ] Yeah you definitely want to check/call here rather than bet/call. |
