PLO where to start?
I've been playing alot of micro PLO lately while I play tourneys, and have atually be winning, but to be honest I don't even know what the heck I'm doing. I searched for starting hands or basics posts on the board and have found very little that gets me a good idea. Can anyone point me in some direction on books/tutorial websites/posts that would get me started on learning the game properly.

Re: PLO where to start?
Rob,
Purchase 'Omaha Holdem Poker' by Bob Ciaffone. At a little over 100 pages it is somewhat short on information but what is there is quality stuff. Also purchase 'Pot-limit & No-limit Poker' by Stewart Reuben and Bob Ciaffone. This is a high quality text with excellent information. Post some hands also. Everyone will try to help you out. I have no knowledge about quality websites but others may have. -Zeno |

ciaffone's omaha book is excellent, telling you what you want to look for in starting hands, and from the flop on. i have some basic advice for beginners on my website also.

i have some basic advice for beginners on my website also. [/ QUOTE ] When I saw this thread, I was going to recommend the essay at: http://www.winningonlinepoker.com/plo.htm I read it a few weeks ago and thought it was extremely helpful. I had no idea it was crockpot's until right now when I saw his post and checked his profile. Great essay, crockpot. |
