Default Is it just me, but are there a lot of challenges going on? (l2nc)

Is playing poker so boring that we need to come up with challenges in order to motivate ourselves to play the game?

What are some of the reasons that some of you guys are using to come up with these challenges? If it's from boredom at your current limit, wouldn't your time be more wisely used to examining and fixing your game so that you can be properly rolled to moving up for good?

I like to mix things up just like anyone else, but at the same time I feel afterwards that I haven't used my time as wisely as I should have. Taking a shot in the form of a challenge can be fun, but is it going to move me forward in my game long term? (rhetorical, I'm not 100% on the answer)

-- just the musings of an old dude, I'm just creeping back up in the 2/4 6-max game when I feel that I should have been hammering the 5/10 game by now. Not really trying to rant
