Default 200/400 hand 2

Sam Grizzle raises on the button and I defend with 76o. The flop is 763 all hearts. I check-raise, he three-bets, I fourbet, he calls. The turn is the Td. I bet, he raises, I call. The river is the 2h. I check, he bets, and I raise.

I don't think he would bet planning on folding to a raise in a pot this big.

Ballsy river raise. I don't like it though b/c the turn also makes a straight possible as well as the flopped flush (not to mention, he could have flopped or turned a set). I check call the end. Everything else is standard.

P.S. Sorry we didn't meet up this weekend...I didn't know who you were and was sitting in the 80 game right next door to the 2-4. The big game is over my speed limit though, so I didn't really consider playing it. Also, the times I peeked in, it seemed much tigher than the game I was in.

when he slows down on the flop, it is basically gauranteed that your hand is the nizzles at that point... id just threebet that turn... good chance he hit the T, IMO.
he will def not fold a T(if thats what hes got) no matter what you do. period.

You are exactly right that this is the correct play IMO.

EDIT: I gave him way too much credit here. I gave him a free showdown if he wanted one, and gave him a "free" draw to the last heart if he indeed had one. Initially the plan was to check-raise any non-heart river, but then I changed my mind.

So the consensus is turn three-bet and I think that's correct. As the hand played out, he called my check-raise and I won.
