PLO8 Tournament hand - A32x to push
SB is a real donk, he's called down with 5 lows, pushed around with bare overpairs, etc. Is this still an easy fold with nothing suited and not much of a high draw? Blinds are super-fast and I need to accumulate chips since the bubble is super-tight.
Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo $10+$1 (real money), hand #1,179,768,688 10+1 PL Omaha Hi/Lo Multi Table Tournament, 18 Aug 2005 02:21 AM Seat 1: UTG+1 ($5,405 in chips) Seat 2: Hero [Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img],A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img],3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img],2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]] ($2,820 in chips) Seat 3: MP1 ($930 in chips) Seat 4: CO ($4,454 in chips) Seat 5: Button ($2,510 in chips) Seat 8: SB ($1,518 in chips) Seat 9: BB ($3,222 in chips) Seat 10: UTG ($4,559 in chips) Blinds are 75/150 PRE-FLOP 2 folds, Hero raises to $500, 3 folds, SB raises to $1,443 and is all-in, BB folds, Hero? |

Re: PLO8 Tournament hand - A32x to push
1) If you're seriously considering folding to a small raise , you shouldn't be raising ~20% of your stack from EP.
2) You're in great shape against his range. Don't fold. He's a donk, but even if he has a "real hand", check some possible hands in his "upper" range: 1) Kh Kd Td 9c you are 54% by EV 2) Kh Qd Jd Tc you are 58% 3) Ad 2d Jh Tc you are a 52% favorite (surprise!) You have a clear call getting ~2:1. If "tournament conditions" lobby for a fold, then your mistake was raising preflop. |

I indeed called, he showed a spectacular K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], and flopped a boat Effin' NLHE players and their bare Kings cost me a lot of my stack on 3 occasions.
