Do you have numbers to define how tight he is? Weak/Tight or TAG? What kind of PFR %? Tight players don't typically raise out of the blinds into a field with a hand like A-J. He certainly doesn't have a 2. 7-7 is also unlikely. J-J is a possible holding...but the river check would be bizarre. Stack sizes might be relevant.

It may seem weak/tight, but depending on how tight this guy is, I'd lean toward checking behind. I don't think you're going to be called by anything that you beat...and his turn call makes it seem like he's not going away.

You check behind, he shows K-K and HHIG?

Edit: Just noticed the 6max...although I'm not sure that would really change anything.

I have a hard time seeing a hand that is beating you here. But you know the opponent.....How strong of a possibility is AJ? How likely is he to have AA or KK.....If it's AA, KK, or a flush draw, check....But that's really only the tightest of opponents....Against most (even tight opponents) i bet here.

were you the BB? did anyone else call pre? do you mind saying where this hand was played? how deep are you guys?
generally, id say go ahead and check it and lose to KK. if i bet here, im betting like 1500 as a bluff.

Basically I'm an idiot, I don't even know why I bet this river after thinking about it. He probably only makes this raise with AA - TT, and I'm losing to every one.

Note to everyone: NON TRICKY PLAYERS DO NOT CHECK-RAISE BLUFF THE RIVER.

Results? Now that we know you lost, what was the action? I'm assuming J-J?

If he's really "very tight" as you say, then he's not paying you off on a value bet here with anything except for AJ.

Check behind.

Against anybody else, bet $600 and fold to a push. (Assuming he has a lot behind)

TT, betting this river is dumb. Sometimes I just don't think.
