Once you see the flop, no way not to go broke here or you would have to be extremely weak/tight or have an incredible read.

You gotta bet that flop harder. Checking up front is fine, but how do you not reraise? 10 players to the turn? Not sure if CO folds 8s to a big check raise on the flop, but he should as it's obvious that hero has a 3 if he does.

This post is awful.

If you for some god awful reason call 2 raises PF with 83 and then flop trips and turn a boat, then of course you arent getting away from the damn hand because otherwise you fold preflop. This is a dream. Im sorry you got rivered by a set of aces. A shame really. There are times to be creative, and there is pure stupidity. I am not one usually to critize a preflop call but this.... It must be tons of fun playing two cards that add up to 11 but are 5 apart in early position.

Exactly, short and sweet.

Seeing the flop for free and then making a hand always gets me in trouble. It seems I either take down a small pot or lose a big one.

Oh and I don't think he called two raises preflop, think he limped in, unless I read it incorrectly.

Strassa, did i miss something? I thought he limped in pre. Calling one raise much less two is pretty weak. But assuming he limped, and then check raised the flop hard, if there still are multiple callers then I'd say he still has a chance to get away without too much damage, especially since his opponent got cute on the turn and didnt put the hammer down until the ace fell, and A/3 is certainly a possibility in this spot.

I'd double down the flop then split my 8s on the turn.
