Re: Air Force Reserve
I just got off active duty from the Air Force, and if you are looking for a way to gain a new skill its not a bad deal. Depends on where you live and what job you want to do. I was lucky enough not to have a job that didn't require me to deploy. Just know if you join the military -no matter what branch- you take take the chance of getting deployed. I taught new enlistees in the AF for 4 years, and they would all say something like "I came in so i could..."
1. Go to college (must easier ways to do this, but ok, I finished my degree when i was in) 2. Travel (I went to CO & CA... The job that I did, didn't go anywhere) 3. Serve my country - 1 out of 10 said this. To the ones who answered college/travel i would always thanks them for joining, but also let them know that school/travel/whatever else, is second to the "needs of the AF" Just know what you are getting into. I used the AF the most i could. Gained a valuable skill (awesome training), had them pay for my college (and still have my GI Bill to use now), Did travel a little, met some really great people. Anyway, If you are in college now, go talk to the ROTC on your campus if they have one, if not go talk to a recuiter. i can give you a recommendation for a career field if you live in CO or Central Coast CA. PM me for more info. <img src="http://tinypic.com/dy1wle.jpg" alt="Image hosted by TinyPic.com"> |
