Psychology behind \"Is all this info bad for profits?\"
I read this thread about "Is all this info bad for profits?"
http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...part=1#1066507 It poses the question that with all the information out there (books/forums) on how to beat poker, is this bad for winning players' profits? For any activity involving skill (poker included), in order to excel at it, there needs to be a drive to learn and then put their knowledge into action. People doing activities they like can be categorized accordingly: 1. People who do not have the drive to learn 2. People who have the drive to learn Some people have the drive to learn, and some people don't. No matter how much they love the activity, people who don't have the drive to learn and educate themselves will never do so. Of the people who have the drive to learn, there are two sub-groups: 2a. People who can apply their knowledge with discipline 2b. People who have learned, but do not have the discipline to apply their knowledge Assuming that of the people who play poker, 90-95% are losers and 5-10% are winners, we can conclude that most of the losers fall under categories 1 and 2b. But since this is a state-function, of categories 1 and 2b, there are SOME people who will become 2a through time. That's my $0.02(Cdn). What do y'all think? |

I have thought about the same subject and reached the same conclusion.
It is similar to a question I asked myself and answered similarly many years ago when I saw a "no money down" real estate infomercial. |
