UTG is a LAG
BB and button are nothing special - avg I'm in sb w/ J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] UTG raises, 1 fold, button calls, I call, BB 3bets, UTG caps, all call flop (8 bb): T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] I bet, bb raises, UTG and button call, I 3bet, bb caps, all call turn (16 bb): 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] I check, bb bets, UTG calls, button raises, all call river (24 bb): T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] I check, bb checks, UTG bets, button folds, I raise button's fold surprised me and I decided to go for it. anyone like it? |

Re: river bluff c/r
I really don't like it. Whatever UTG decided not to check behind the river with is going to be worth showing down.
edit: Misread the action, thought it was the previous aggressor betting on the river. I still don't like it though. If UTG is loose he's likely going to call you with a better hand here. I'd say you may have pushed yourself from third to second place. |

Re: river bluff c/r
This guy called 2 cold on the flop, twice. He's not the type to lay down any sort of hand to a raise on the river. Very few 6-max players at this level are, in fact.

The guys a LAG. That's close to a 2BB mistake IMO

That's close to a 2BB mistake IMO [/ QUOTE ] you realize you're saying that calling is better than raising here |

Re: river bluff c/r
It is. You lose 1BB everytime you call. You lose more then that everytime you raise. Raising has the quality of getting the pot very rarely, but you still lose less by calling.
