Question regarding pot odds
I have use several calculators used for determining pot odds but something still doesn't add up. The pot odds calculator used says that if their is a 100 dollar pot the biggest bet you could call would be 54 if you were going for a flush draw.
Thats roughly 3 to 1 odds and a flush hits roughly 35 percent, but when i add it up it seems like calling with 2 to 1 odds would be profittable. If the pot is 100 another bets 100 then it would be 100 to you with the chance of winning 200. So for every three times you you would play this you would lose your 100 twice(100x2=200) and win the 200 once (200x1=200) So with that in mind wouldn't you need just 2 to 1 pot odds to make a call in such a hand? |

Re: Question regarding pot odds
Well, I'm not the best at this stuff, but I already see one mistake in your reasoning.
If you have a flush draw ON THE FLOP, it will come in around 34.8% of the time (or whatever the exact # is) by the RIVER. But if you are calling a bet and MISS, you will most likely be calling another bet on the turn, which lowers you odds substantially. But if calling that flop bet put you all in it'd be a different story. |

Re: Question regarding pot odds
That only applies if you are all-in because there is another round of betting.
