Why did you check-raise the river? The button either has a nine or a busted flush draw or some sort of gutshot draw that he's bluff raising and won't call with anyway.

So just check-call the river.

I dont see how this river is anything other then a bet fold or check call probibly a check call given your description of villan. The way you played it I would fold to the threebet.

Perfect opportunity for a C/R on the turn imo.

river is just mind boggling, i have no idea what ur doing or trying to accomplish. if the river was u and UTG, maybe I could see him doing that with an AK or overpair.

ok. this looks really bad and it is. i think the flop is fine.

arkady suggests going for a turn checkraise but i like betting more because is sucks balls if this gets checked through and also if opp raises i can 3bet.

in fact, when i bet the turn i figured if villain had at least top pair he would raise so i was anticipating a raise. he was that aggro. when he didnt raise i put him on acehigh, midpair, or some draw. thats why i checkraised the river as i knew he would bet the river and pay off with acehigh.

of course, if he has top pair i get stung for 3bets so this was a pretty stupid plan and i dont really know why i didnt realize it. so i guess i posted it for penance, to cleanse myself.

so, yea, this looks pretty bad and i think the best play here is to just checkcall the riv as an overaggro will nearly always take a stab at this pot.
