Villain was pretty much a trickyish TAG

I check call the river. Did you think he was trying to free showdown raise you or something? If so, he will often fold to your river bet.

Yes, I thought he was trying to do a free showdown on me. I also did not put an ace in his hand from preflop action.

I think he definately will call a pair on the river when I donk. I would have represented an ace if I 3bet the turn, right?
