Varying my play as all the other losers (sort of low content)
Varying my play as all the other losers
SB is pretty to very LAG BB is loose Party Poker 10/20 Hold'em (6 max, 5 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is Button with J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. 1 fold, Hero raises, SB calls, BB calls. Flop: (6 SB) T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players) SB checks, BB checks, Hero checks. I figure: I'm ahead most of the time. This is a flop players with nothing don't like to call on. Very intimidating flop. Hands that I miss value bet's against are Ax, 9x, PP, Tx. I hope my flop check will get the LAG to bluff with other hands. Also, I hope to get a good chance to raise if A or 9 hits the turn = 17% of the time. I'm behind some of the time. I'm afraid of a c/r from the mad LAG! So I hope I save some by checking, but I'm not sure. Turn: (3 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players) SB checks, BB checks, Hero checks. Wow, the mad LAG didn't bet? He didn't bluff? What's up? This must be one of those crazy c/r I've been a victim of the last days. Best to check. River: (3 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players) SB checks, BB checks, Hero checks. Oops. I should have bet. Don't know what I was thinking Final Pot: 3 BB OK. So I'm in a 250 BB downswing. I've started to wonder if I should move down to 5/10 temporarily. What do you think? Is this hand enough evidence that I'm not up for it anymore? |

You overthunk this hand to death. I'd start by just betting the flop.

[ QUOTE ]
This is a flop players with nothing don't like to call on. [/ QUOTE ] Unless by "nothing" you mean any two cards 7 or lower, then this is the type of flop every horrible player loves to call on. You leveraged your position about as badly as possible here. |
