Looks like a good fold to me. What was your plan if a) MP2 just called, or b) MP2 folded

I would have called in both cases.

I only got 1 reply, so I believe I played the hand accordingly, however, the bettor actually folded the hand, that's why I had doubts about me folding the top pair in that spot.

Definitely agree with this fold.
