Default Flopped straight, scare cards...

Would you have capped this flop? How about the turn, should I have led out even with the scare card?

You have the best possible hand. If this isn't a good time to cap, what is?

The cap on the flop is a no brainer. And bet the turn. Playing scared will cost you lots of $$. trust me, i've done it.

Come turn I was afraid of the flush, because of the flop action..

Cap the flop...guys are betting with you.

Bet the turn...they could be as scared of it a third spade as you are. You could take the pot down right there. If you meet real resistance, you might be in trouble (depending on the opponent).

Bet the river.

Those are cards that could easily mean two pair for another opponent. He'll come along for the ride all the way to the river.

You flopped the nuts...you still have the top straight on the turn and river. Bet, bet, bet.

If someone capped the turn with me...I'd consider check/calling the river.

Not betting the turn is like saying you hate money.

Cap the flop. Bet the turn. If you hit a raise call it down.

An alternative to capping the flop would be to call and check raise the turn. If you do go for the check raise and a spade comes out(like what actually happened) you should abandon the check raise plan and bet out instead. This card probably scres them as much as it does you, dont let them check it through.
