Default 5 handed A4c

I am on the button with A4s clubs.

Looser fairly aggro player limps utg, 1 fold, i raise, sb, bb and limper call.

Flop: As Kh 8d

Sb checks, bb checks, villain bets, hero raises, sb calls, bb folds, villain calls.

Turn comes: 2s

sb checks, villain bets.

action and plan?

what do you think about other streets to this point?

I usually like playing really passively in this spot. When he donks into you with no possible draws on such a high card flop I am pretty suspicious.

I'd just call the flop and see waht he does on the turn. if he keeps betting i am content with just calling down. only point i can see in raising the flop is knocking out SB/BB if they have QT/QJ/JT but i guess thats a risk im willing to take.

you say to just call the flop, but isn't there a lot of merit towards facing both blinds with two bets on the flop here? its not draw heavy but there are still gutters or weak pairs that would fold facing two but not one.

and you get reraised by good hands. I'm not one to fold so I play passively as well here.

lol, dunno probably. I usually post mid and high limit forum and I get good responses there. I just started playing alot of SH, so, I've moved here some.

Everybody probably hates me though, thats the standard line.

As for this hand, any thought to letting it go on the turn?

After sb called a raise and now he donks it, can I release the hand, or do i need to show this one down?

The thing is that my read is kind of up in the air, I don't know the opponent well enough to know that a fold is correct, but with the presence of the SB, it might make it a fold.

I don't think you can raise flop and then let go of this after Villian donks you on the turn. I just call turn/river UI. I like your flop raise.

Thanks for the responses guys, I did take the passive line and just call down... It just made me feel dirty.

Villain had k2 for 2 pair, I dont know what SB had, but he called the whole way down as well, he even overcalled on river.

I think I would be raising the flop as well to try and knock out the other fish. Your A sucks so badly I think you will be hoping for a chop vs. another A unless you can make it fold, which honestly hardly ever happens.
