Re: Big offsuit aces
1. is ok I think.
2. fold. 3. could be a flopped flush or trip Q's. I think I call this and fold the river unimproved. 1/2 is full of really awful players. 4. I play it the same. |

Re: Big offsuit aces
1. You need all your outs to be clean for a call here, they may be but they may not so fold.
2. Likely to be a PP out there which your an underdog, if not, you are likely dominated |

Re: Big offsuit aces
yeah. i guess i don't feel like i played any of these too badly, except maybe hand four. just the middle of a downswing feeling that makes you question every decision. thanks for responses.

Re: Big offsuit aces
I think you are giving the schmucks of 1-2 way too much credit. They often play outrageously and irrationally. Depending on how bad their play is, id consider calling in (1) to see what the turn brings (fold unimproved).
In number 2, if they are decent the fold is fine, but if they arent, consider calling I think. In 1-2 there arent many steals going on, so its likely that the button does infact have something. However, dont expect him to play his something all that well. Depending on how straightforward the mp in (3) is, you might consider calling his raise here or reraising. Some players typically raise with their really good hands, even if it makes absolutely no sense (ie - they arent likely to be beaten, and raising faces potential callers with a double bet which they wont likely call). On the other hand, they might think that since there are two queens on the board, its less likely you have the top on-board pair, and are going for some raising with the 10 action to try and take the pot. Number 4 looks good. In general, 1-2 has so much crazyness, that if you fold every time you would be totally beat vs a rational player, you will be losing to middle pair's and scare-card-river-bluffs way too often. |
