AK with healthy stack on button facing a raise and cc
I just wanted to bring up a common situation in tourneys where you have to make the decision with your AK.
30+3 NL on party. 140/1000 left...first pays 5k I get dealt AK on button. Stack at 6000 Blinds 100/200 pf action EP makes it 1000 LP cc 1000 I do what???..both players cover Have not seen EP get out of line yet. I think this is a very tough and common situation. I was wondering how many BB's will it take anyone to fold this pf or even making calling a viable option. |

Re: AK with healthy stack on button facing a raise and cc
This looks to me like a shove or call, and I lean towards shoving here. The cold call doesn't worry me too much, so all I need to do is fold out/beat the original raiser. If they fold, I increase my stack by 30% (Hooray!), and if they call that's usually okay as well.

This is an ideal situation for a semibluff push. I think you have to push.
