MP is a complete maniac. Has probably been all in preflop 10-15 times already from the blinds was 15/30. He has been up and down from 1000 to 4000 to 800 to 4000 again already. Never sees a flop, no limping just pushing. Has played the whole SnG like the blinds were 200/400 already. You get the picture. SB has seemed solid, and is obviously aware that MP's range is huge here.

i don't know, this one is interesting. if you fold, and the maniac loses, you're sitting fine for bubble time with blinds still low, plenty of time to work some magic. if you fold and the maniac wins, sb will be shortstacked, but more importantly the maniac will have chips again. he'll be a maniac again, and will either get knocked out himself, or cripple some of the other stacks. given this unusual table dynamic, coupled with the fact that JJ isn't a lock and SB is solid, i might pass on this one. you might be giving up cEV, but the x factor of the maniac makes this a fold IMO. interesting.

Interesting spot. I'm calling.
Given your description of MP, his range of hands is enormous, something like all pairs, any ace, any two broadway. As you said, the SB is aware of that MP's range is huge so his iso push range is much broader as well, probably something like 77-AA/AJ-AK. JJ has 44-45% equity against these two ranges. Let's play for first. |

This is hard. If MP is the1stone, I would lean towards folding, but I would probably still call because the SB's range is still pretty wide and you have first locked up if you win this and chips left if you lose.

How do you have first locked up with just half the chips?
I call. |

I'd call. SB is probably calling with a wide range here.
