wish I had AQ instead of these jacks
3/6 NL eff. stacks 900
Hero is CO w/ JJ BB is solid/tricky, Villain is solid, decent from what I've seen. Villain raises 18 from lp, I call w/ JJ, BB calls. Flop 8c 9c 2h BB bets 50, Villain raises to 150, I fold. Standard? |

Re: wish I had AQ instead of these jacks
I re-raise preflop to get it heads up with position against the guy I have a decent read on. If you don't re-raise preflop, postflop is probably standard. A case can be made for cold calling as well, though, IMO. Looks somewhat similar to AZK's thread against the solid player.

Re: wish I had AQ instead of these jacks
he showed 10 10 and I felt stupid for folding, but his raise puts me in a tough spot.

[/ QUOTE ] JJ is not generally a reraising hand, but when someone opens late, they're often opening light, and a reraise should help clarify things. It sure would've in this hand. Your flop fold is fine given the bet and raise. |
