cheap ear bud suggestions
i'm just realizing how bad my ipod headphones suck. i'd like some that are halfway decent, and block out some outside noise at least. the cheaper the better obviously. and since i need any excuse to get out of the house these days, any that i can get at best buy, apple store, circuit city would be bonus.
i know this has probably been posted but i'm lazy and i thought i'd give you guys a chance to answer again, or at least bitch about me not doing a search, since i know people love doing both of these things. |

Sony MDR-EX51 Best for under $40 IMHO. [/ QUOTE ] I second this. If you tend to bang around your mp3 player and subject the head phones to car doors, getting crushed at the bottom of a bag and so forth I wouldn't spend more than this. If you're more of an audiophile you really need to get rid of the notion that they must be cheap. Swede |

[/ QUOTE ] I guess, if you would rather get those than the better Shure headphones. However, the sound difference b/n either of those and the Sharps, and I guess Sonys to a lesser extent, isn't enough to warrant paying the price premium unless you are very specific about your music. And if that's the case, you usually won't end up buying such a "cheap" set of ear phones when you can get a bud like the E5c's, or some set of cans. I liken these to the BMW 325. Sure, it's a beemer, but it's the Honda Civic of the category. |

Re: cheap ear bud suggestions
I actually own both the Sony MDR-EX51 and the Panasonic RP-HJE50, and I actually prefer the Panasonics with regards to sound quality. Comfort-wise, they're pretty much exactly the same. The Panasonics are cheaper too.
