Min-Raising post flop
Whats up with this, and how do i deal with it?
10 handed. I am hijack with AKo 1 limper to me, i bet pot, bb calls, limper calls. Flop comes jh 8s 2d checked to me, I bet 3/4 of pot, bb folds, limper min raises. Is there any value to min raising post flop in general? What is its primary use? How do i deal with? blake |

figure out what they do this with. If he does this with JTo to "see where he is at", shove. If he does this with a draw, call, pot blank. If he does this with the nuts, fold. Etc.

As a minraise postflop is generally considered to represent strength, i sometimes use it 1) to bluff 2) to control the pot or 3) as a cheap way of isolating a weak bettor when I am next to act, with ppl still to act behind me
How to deal with it? Play poker. In the example you posted I'd fold unless i knew my opponent would regularly do this with a highcard or one pair hand, which is unlikely. Marnix |
